Just got back to blighty after spending a month in Lanzarote (boy do I miss it already).
Frequented Charlie's Bar on many occasions as you guy's seem to have some of the best musicians around playing at your bar, funny though how I always remember going into the bar but never remember coming out. Can't remember the band or the guy who was playing the guitar (early December) but he absolutely blew me away... Did he practice on a regular basis with Jimmy Hendrix.
Roll on December 2010 I can't wait to get back to the nice weather - nothing but bloody snow here!

we were all-inclusive in pdc in sept so wasn't expecting to be out and around much....wrong!! went to charlies on our 2nd night and returned another 4 or 5 times. skin & hide were brilliant. what a band.

Just back from a week in Lanzarote with the girls, we found craic n ceoil in the Old Town on our second night and headed up to Charlies afterwards. Had such a good time that we spent most nights in one or other of these places.
All the staff were so nice and friendly to us and it definately felt like a local away from home.
Rory & Skin & Hide kept us well entertained as did Jimmy who can prob name more places in Ireland then I can!
Also wanna give Josh a mention and say I'm sure he'll be missed over there, best PR by a mile, friendly instead of pushy! We'll definately be back!

Just to say a very big thanks to Josh for taking us to Charlies on our first night out. We never missed a night after that and enjoyed our nights there. Thanks to Rory and Skin and Hyde for singing chasing Cars for me every night and for massimo doing a special dedication to us on our last night there and singing my song to me yet again. thanks to all the staff too they keep the drinks flowing all night long!!

We visited Lanzer for a week from the 23rd Sept and heard about ye pretty quickly, brill bar (we always appreciated Coors on tap abroad ) and the band, Bog the Donkey were fantastic... we'll be back!

Note from Charlies: Thanks for the praise! Bog the Donkey were special guests for only a week, but you will love our resident band "Skin & Hide" too, which you will no doubt see next time. :)

so sorry u r on hols when we arrive for a week 17th Dec. but thx for telling us..... will Massimo be playing in Pdel C & any other gusd places we can go 4 live music... we will be goin to Craic & Carole.. (excuse my spelling!!!)

Just got home to rainy old England after two great weeks in Lanzarote where I spent every night in Charlie's! Skin and Hide are the most amazing live band, can't wait for Galway! The summer of zero nine will never be forgotten!!

Just came back from 2 weeks in Lanzarote, found Charlie's & never left. We love the boys,the best live band & can't wait to see them in Galway.
You are just brilliant.
I had the best nights at Charlie's & you all made it very memorable for us.
Rory, CD is Fab, why isn't colours on there?
Barry, i will eventually get to know the words to ALL the irish songs & hopefully sing along with you, but you know the trouble I have! :-0)
Cannot wait to December & wish I could tour with you all for 3 weeks!!!
In the meantime I will have just watch the DVD.
I will definitely Recommend Charlies to everyone and it definitely was the Summer of Zero Nine!!!
